ATTUverse Deals Mean Superior Technology for You

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

This past weekend I had AT&T come set up Att Uverse in my place. My husband and I went for the Television plus Net software.

I’ve heard talk about Att Uverse coming to our town, but those usually won’t come true. Suddenly right before the end of the month, I discovered it was the truth.

So our family got Uverse and really like. The menu is marvellously engineered, and is better than other services have ever had. Att Uverse also is speedy, getting rid of the hangup we always received when choosing a station with others.

The best aspect about U-Verse Television is that anybody can our DVR using my pc or even by my mobile device, and it has 4 inputs for recording so we can tape multiple HD feeds and 2 regular feeds simultaneously. The standard digital shows are perfect, and the high def seems to be pretty awesome also.

We researched and noticed bundles for at&t u-verse deals and we registered on the web, and should receive a few hundred in rewards. Also Uverse also makes Zero contracts when you sign on. They’re doing this to get families to test the service. So basically my family’s basically on a no cost two month trial run. The only issue was the 2 week wait for the setup, and in addition that the DVR remote they won’t turn my tv on or off. Those are Little troubles though for a solid service.

FL State Minimums

  • Bodily Injury Liability: $10,000/$20,000 Limit
  • Property Damage Liability (PDL): $10,000 Limit

Florida follows a No-Fault system of rules implying your insurance underwriter will make payments for your injury claims irrespective of fault, up to a certain limit. Since neither party is found to be at fault, you wind up losing some of your legal rights to sue under a no-fault system. Specifics of a no-fault system deviate by state.

To assist payment for the costs created from an accident, Personal Injury Protection (PIP) is included in your auto insurance policy. In the state of Florida, it is required that all drivers to cover PIP insurance coverage of $10,000 to compensate one person involved in the accident and $20,000 for all people involved in the auto accident.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury insurance policy is for times when you’re involved in accident with a driver who does not carry a Florida auto insurance policy. You’re not demanded by Florida law to have this type of insurance, but it is recommended in order to keep financially safe in the event that you are in an accident with an underinsured driver.

In the year 2003, the average cost for insurance in the US was $914,while the mean Floridian spent $1,104. Numerous motorists incorrectly think auto insurance rates are shaped and made by the Florida government, but this is not right.

Florida auto insurance rates can be different between two people and one company to the next. To determine if you could be paying less for auto insurance costs, you have to compare auto insurance rates on the internet. You also could be eligible for distinct insurance offers that can help lower your premiums.

In 2007, usual insurance costs saw their first reduction in about 8 years. 2007 had a .5% to 1% reduction in insurance rates from 2006. Yet, the next year in 2008, insurance costs were again becoming more expensive and continued to do so through the first half of 2009.

Auto insurance sites help motorists increase savings of their auto insurance policy. They bring competition instantly to the consumer and reduce your costs using the web! You may be able to receive lower auto insurance rate quotes at another auto insurer and/or find that you’re entitled for certain auto insurance deductions.

Cable or DSL Broadband?

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

I’ve been asked this question so many times I thought I’d put my thoughts down here for you to read. Let’s start by pointing out a couple things first. First off, depending on where you live, you may not have a choice of access. Satellite may be your only choice, which makes this null and void. Don’t fret, satellite is better than any dial-up and the contract lengths are generally 12-14 months in length. It will cost a bit more, given the extra equipment involved, but it certainly beats dial-up (if you can afford it).

Ok, on to the two major broadband access methods, cable and DSL. When I’m asked this question, I usually follow it with questions of my own.

1st. What type of internet surfing do you do? Are you a gamer, shopper, email user, web developer, music downloader, online video watcher, video editor or casual surfer?

2nd. How many computers will you have connected to the internet at one time?

3rd. Do you plan on ‘leveraging’ your broadband investment for home security or VoIP? (Voice over Internet Protocol is a method of making and receiving your phone calls using your broadband connection.)

When making your decision keep in mind that cable access, generally, cost more. The higher cost comes with the benefits of more speed. Up to 6 meg download, or the amount of information you can receive ‘down’ from the internet.

Loading web pages, listening to music online or watching video online are all impacted by your download speed. DSL is about 1.5 meg down in comparison. Not only does this impact ‘your’ surfing behavior, but if you plan to have more than 1 computer access the internet at the same time, keep in mind you’re ’sharing’ this connection. Sharing the connection means sharing that download ‘pipe’. (your internet connection) Uploading to the internet (file attachments in email, uploading web pages, etc. impact your upload speed. Cable upload speeds are around 384K while DSL is around 128K.

If you wish to leverage your investment in broadband by using VoIP, keep in mind that DSL is provided through the copper wires of your phone line. Having VoIP as a primary phone line without local phone service is very, very rare. This type of access is called ‘naked DSL’ and is not very common. We hope this will change in time, but for now, check with your local phone company. If you plan on leveraging your investment, check first.

So the answer to the question Cable or DSL is really all about your usage and what you’re willing to pay. Yes, cable is more expensive but it also comes with the additional benefits of faster speed and the ability to leverage your investment using VoIP as a primary phone service.

Lastly, when I’m asked what I personally use at home? I use cable broadband access and VoIP phone service. I’m very pleased with both and don’t plan on changing any time soon.

If you’re still unsure which is right for you, there are many web sites out there to provide you with additional information. Our site can help you as well so we hope to see you there!

Happy surfing.

How to Choose the Right Accounting Software for Your Business

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

With any good luck and a good amount of hard work, you’re
having the same problem many business owners today are
facing. Your business is growing rapidly and you’re having
problems controlling your finances. Time and time again,
that Microsoft Excel spreadsheet you’ve been using just
isn’t getting the job done for you.

So, you’ve decided that you’re ready to take the next
step, and buy a full-featured accounting software program.
Many options are available to choose from, but I believe
the best solutions to be Quicken Premier Home and Business
by Intuit, QuickBooks Pro also by Intuit, and Peachtree
Accounting by Sage. In order to decide on the right
package for you, you need define the type of business that
you operate.

With the rise of self-employment (businesses with one or
more owners but no paid employees) a need has arisen to
manage business and personal finances on one platform.
Intuit has released Quicken 2005 Premier Home and Business
to fill this need. This software is perfect for the small
business owner who receives income from investments, real
estate, and/or internet marketing. Also, Quicken 2005
Premier Home and Business is well priced at only $89.95.

For more typical brick-and-mortar business owners, you
will usually need a more robust solution like QuickBooks
Pro or Peachtree Accounting for functions like payroll
reporting and check producing. Each piece of software has
its advantages, but don’t forget that QuickBooks has been
the standard in business accounting software for many years
now. As for features and basic operations, both
applications will provide you the same functionality and
convenience for your business.

One additional factor to consider in your decision is that
Peachtree Accounting is less expensive than QuickBooks.
Both starter versions of Peachtree and QuickBooks are
priced at $99.95 each, but the full-featured version of
Peachtree is priced at only $199.95 while the full-featured
QuickBooks Pro is priced at $299.95.

At the end of the day, the biggest advantage QuickBooks
offers over Peachtree is compatibility with other
applications. For example, most commercial banks (Bank of
America, SunTrust, etc…) provide you with files designed
to work directly with QuickBooks, so that you can read,
study, and decipher transaction details. Also, some banks
will allow you to update account information in real-time
with QuickBooks. Check with your bank to see what
accounting software their online services support, and you
should be able to make your decision.

How to Expand Your Horizons with the Assistance of Audiobooks

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Salty Piece Of Land by Jimmy Buffet might be a good read, however busy lifestyles often make reading difficult to achieve. Long journeys to the office and other activities could eat up enormous amounts of day without you realizing it. Earning a living, taking care of kids or looking after your house all cut back the free time you have to spend on your interests. It’s simple to simply utilize the hours you spend doing housework to catch up on those books you don’t have time to read. With modern media files, it’s simple to spoil yourself with Walking the Bible by Bruce Feiler by Download Audio Book Online, or audio-books narrated by Ray Bradbury without even picking up a book.

Making the best of your time has become a way of life in today’s frantic world. Audio books like Without Fail by Lee Child by Download Audio Book Online take advantage of the wasted moments everyday, whether it’s waiting at the dentist’s surgery or maybe driving the kids to soccer practise. A huge variety of audible books may be downloaded straightaway in mp3 format including Mary Mary by James Patterson, so pick up your mp3 player and headphones you have the opportunity to check out a best seller or a fantastic novel, such as audio-books written by Karen Marie Moning without carrying heavy books around. Audio books offer a large number of advantages such as renting or purchasing the instructional title of your choice and savoring it at your own pace. Interested in learning German? Why not give audio-books a shot? Possibly the latest sales techniques interest you, or you can enjoy meditating on the newest views in religious thought.

An enormous selection of genres and titles are available. It doesn’t matter if you enjoy history, or if you are mad over horror or if your interested in self help, you can download most audiobooks straightaway. Choices are wide open; it’s easy to take a subscription to a program and rent or else purchase what interests you. Reading devotees can always find a way to read, but the thousands of audio titles available are so handy. Numerous stories, for instance audio titles performed by Leo Tolstoy, can be even better when performed by the writer or a celebrated actor. Reading a title is not quite the same as savoring audio titles recounted by Andy Guides, including refinements established during a rendidtion. Savoring audio titles recounted by John Hagee can contribute something special to your reading experience and often can convey a great deal more than written word.

Don’t forget audio-books next time you want to buy books, audio books are a tremendous way of fitting the titles you desire into a busy routine.

The Pros and Cons of Val D’Isere in the French Alps

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Unrivaled amongst most celebrated skiing mountains, Val d’Isre brags 378 KM of groomed trails. The winter season commences during early November and stops in the start of May. Val d’Isere caters for all your needs. The village stretches through the vale from La Daille until Le Fornet with the focus on Val Village. This cluster of inviting homes contain chic shops most of which have arisen since Val d’Isere was picked for the Winter Olympics in 1992.

Broken into three areas Val d’Isre has many runs for all levels. It has a great snow record, the resort is massively fashionable amidst pro skiers and boarders and motorway skiing intermediates, however you do not have to be especially brave to enjoy what’s there. It is easy to why so many Brits are pulled in to the domain, with its exciting nightlife and the choice of entertainment on offer, moreover the proximity of Tignes permits you to venture out to less frantic areas if it all begins to get all too much.

Pros

A good nightlife in the French Alps. Everyone talks English. Easily accessible from Geneva airport. Quick access to both Val d’Isre and Tignes collectively known as the the Espace Killy skiing area. There’s lots of cars and though there are frequent buses in the daytime, committed apres skiers should head to be within a short distance from the town centre.

Cons

Overpriced. Hectic and very fashionable with English holiday makers, so not for people looking for a classic French ski town to relish a relaxing skiing holiday. A lot of skiing lifts can shut in stormy conditions. Several difficult blue and green slopes.

The Rapture: A Twinkling of an Eye

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

A father savagely murders his nine children. A stay at home mother drowns her five children in a bathtub. A sex offender confesses to abducting and killing a nine-year-old child. Two weeks later in the same state - another sex offender duplicates the same heinous crime. In late December of 2004, over 75,000 children perished when a 9.3 earthquake caused a great Tsunami off the coast of Asia; 75,000 children were gone in an instant. When reading the morning headlines, nothing can strike more sadness within the soul once finding out a defenseless, innocent child has passed away.

It is only natural for man to ask God how He could allow a helpless child to die. The answer, if given likely would not be sufficient enough for our human minds. The prophet Isaiah explained, “the righteous passes away; the godly often die before their time. And no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come (Isaiah 57:1.)

The countries where the Tsunami struck are well known for their worship to false gods and idols. They are content worshipping cows, rats, insects, etc, choosing to worship creatures instead of the Creator. The 1st commandment of the Ten Commandments reads “I am the Lord your God…you shall have no other gods before me.” The 2nd commandment: “You shall not make for yourself any carved images, any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water underneath the earth, you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.” The great Tsunami claimed over 300,000 lives in less than a hour. Was the Tsunami judgment upon these pagan nations from God? Not to mention, the majority of countries hit by the Tsunami are well known for the heavy persecution of Christians within their country. Prophetic evangelist, Perry Stone, believes that the aftermath of the Tsunami will allow missionaries to freely teach the Gospel in places which they were restricted to do so before: a fulfillment of the prophecy of the Gospel being preached to all nations.

It was over 2,500 years ago, when Isaiah the prophet declared the prophecy concerning the righteous to die, at the time spiritual wickedness was at an all time high in Israel. According to the amplified Bible:

“The society then was so bad that the righteous people in Israel had to die in order to find peace. Observing the evil all around apparently frustrated them. The only way the righteous could be sparred from such frustration was to die.”

A wise man once said if you want to know what’s going to happen in the future look to the past. America as a nation is on the same spiritual path (i.e. Idolatry, Spiritual Abomination, and Sexual Immorality) that the nation of Israel was before God rendered His judgment. The only difference this time is that instead of the righteous dying, the righteous shall all be changed and taken away in a twinkling of an eye. Was the great Tsunami the beginning of the birth pains described by Christ before His imminent return? The words of Isaiah regarding the righteous can offer a glimmer of hope when a devastating tragedy occurs. We must hold tight to the fact that God is in absolute control when it appears nothing in this world is.

Personal Web Hosting - Free Or Cheap?

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

After you have spent some time and creativity on designing your personal web site now it’s time to publish it on the World Wide Web for all to see it.

When coming to web hosting, many face the dilemma of choosing between free or paid web hosting. Although the costs associated with paid web hosting is rather small, it’s still money.

An easy and money free solution might seem to be registering it with a free web-hosting provider. They come in large numbers today and the 10-20 Megs of free personal space they usually offer sounds tempting. Not to mention that some of them even offer POP3 for your e-mail address on their web site or FTP access to your files on the web site.

So it looks like all this is building up to become quite an alternative to spending dear money for almost the same thing. I mean paid web hosting for an individual’s web site sound a little pretentious, doesn’t it?

Sure paid web hosting gives some more space, quite a few more features and all that, but do you need them anyway? You probably just need a web server that can feed .HTML and maybe some simple java scripts to your visitor. It’s not like you are ever going to need an SQL database, support for .ASP or .PHP. You just want your own web site, not an e-commerce solution or you are ever going to need more than one e-mail address for your own use.

A more careful look at the matter is likely to make the right decision easier to take. As a matter of fact, depending on the objectives trusted to your personal web site, the decision between free or cheap almost dictates itself. You should also keep in mind that you actually trusting your virtual image to the web host.

In exchange for the hosting you won’t be asked for money, but there could be banners, hot links, frames, popup windows or other forms of online advertising that will interfere with the content of your web site, possibly having a bad effect on its look and almost certainly annoying your visitors.
Another minus is that your traffic is not likely to attain very high values due to the long domain name. People are not going to return to your web site simply because they forgot its URL. Therefore if people haven’t added your site to their bookmarks, and if your web site is not easily reachable through search engine search or fro other linked sites, it is very likely that your traffic scores would not be very impressive.

A personal web site could be very useful asset in promoting your professional image to potential or actual employers and business contacts. Regardless we are considering the URL or e-mail address, what would an employer for example think when handed a business card with an e-mail address like yourname@freeserver.com. Would you feel comfortable going to a job interview and leaving your resume referring to your online portfolio available at www.yourname.yetanotherfreehost.com? All your effort and skill displayed by your web content would be almost surely hurt by as little as your URL. Not fair, but likely.

A part of the image of successful professionals nowadays is a good personal website. It is well known that success generates success. The look of a personal URL and e-mail such us www.yourname.biz or contact@yourname.com would definitely benefit to your image as a professional. As you were diligent enough to have a personal website, the matter of trusting it to a free web host or investing an additional and usual small amount of money might be the difference of being associated with a success story of your career or with the cliché of a quite all right fellow that is barely struggling and would make compromises even when it comes to its image.

Any problems with the web host, possible downtime, and narrow bandwidth will chase your visitors away and will be associated to your web site.

On the other hand, if your are just stating your experience with the World Wide Web, or if your are setting up a web site with only close friends and relatives as intended audience, a free web host might just do it for you. These are just a few of the examples of having a good reason to publish your web site on a free hosting provider.

Free web hosts helped thousands of people to familiarize themselves with the Internet experience, as first cradles for their web presence. This is one of the reasons free web hosts have contributed to the overall popularity of the Internet. As comfortable as cradles are, you can’t spend your whole life in the cradle!

So, if you are planning to have a web site to represent you online and you want to be taken seriously, to actually enhance your personal image, make right. Make your web site a living proof of your thoroughness and start with your URL.
